Dr L. Wayne Halstrom a SleepScholar contributor and pioneer of the Dental Sleep Medicine field recently posted his media reel on the Silencer Blog. I asked him for permission to post this material because some of the attendees at Dr John Tuckers Sleep Complete Presentation last weekend asked for access to the material.

Some of this material goes back to 1997. There are some really great images here of older CPAP mask technologies and CPAP machine designs that are worth a look.  There are great clips of the young and dashing Dr Halstrom and also Dr Bradley Eli appears in a much younger form.

It is really interesting how fresh the story still seems. Patients are still seeking alternative treatment modalities to use in lieu of, or in concert with CPAP.

Mark Hebbard a patient of Dr Halstrom’s is in this video describing the lengths that he went through to get a treatment that worked for him.  Finally settling on the Silencer oral device. Mr Hebbard’s Quest for a solution is still an all too familiar story.
